By choosing healthy building materials and by providing adequate ventilation during and after construction or renovation, you ensure a healthier indoor environment.
build and renovate with healthy materials

You tackle the following challenges:

How do I improve indoor air quality

That's how you do it

Products such as paint, glue and materials containing asbestos contain unhealthy substances (including volatile organic compounds). Furniture, carpeting, curtains, wood fiber boards or insulation materials also contain chemicals that can have a negative effect on indoor air quality. These products are increasingly regulated so that you can use most of them safely.

Please note this:

Ventilate and ventilate sufficiently during and after DIY and renovation work such as painting or gluing.
Choose healthy products and materials, such as water-based paint, furniture without wood fiber board or healthy insulation materials. Recognized labels can help you with this.
Read the instructions for use of the products you use. Wear protection such as a mask or gloves.
Store chemical products properly and not in living areas.
Safely dispose of old building materials (such as asbestos or lead-based paint).
